3 ½ tsp butter, divided
1 T all-purpose flour
¼ tsp salt
Dash of pepper
¾ C milk
1 C sliced potatoes
1 T finely chopped onion
Recipe
In saucepan over med heat, melt 3 tsp butter. Stir in flour, salt & pepper til smooth. Gradually add milk. Bring to boiling; cook & stir 2 minutess or til thickened & bubbly. Place half of the potatoes in a greased 2-cup baking dish; top with the onion & half the sauce. Layer with remaining potatoes & sauce. Dot w/remaining butter. Cover & bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Uncover & bake 30~40 minutes longer or til the potatoes are tender.
