    List of Ingredients




    6 C milk
    1/2 C sugar
    3 squares (3 oz) unsweetened chocolate, cut up
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 beaten eggs
    2 tsp vanilla
    stick cinnamon (optional)

    Recipe



    In saucepan combine milk, sugar, chocolate, ground cinnamon, and salt.

    Heat & stir till chocolate melts & milk is very hot. Gradually stir 1 C of the hot mixture into eggs; return to saucepan. Cook 2~3 min's more over low heat. Remove from heat. Add vanilla; beat with rotary beater or molinillo*, til frothy.

    Pour into mugs; garnish w/cinnamon sticks

    Yield: 8 servings (8 oz)

    *A molinillo is a carved wood beater that is twirled between the hands to make chocolate frothy.
