1 cup heavy cream
2 cups cold water
3 tablespoons brown sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
1 10 ox. Can sliced peaches, strained (reserve the liquid)
6 cups hot, fresh, strong, black coffee
Garnish: whipped cream and grated orange rind
Recipe
Whip the cream, set aside.
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the water, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger and reserved peach liquid. Allow the mixture to come to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute.
Place the peaches and half the coffee in a blender and blend for 1 minute.
Add the blender mixture and the rest of the coffee to the saucepan. Stir until well mixed.
Serve In fancy mugs, topped with a dollop of whipped cream and grated orange rind.
