Cherry Almond Muffins

List of Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs -- beaten
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup oil
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup canned cherry pie filling
1/2 cup chopped almonds (I toasted the almonds)Recipe
Put the dry ingredients into a bowl and mix together. In bowl mix the wet ingredients and stir into the flour. Stir until just mixed (do not over mix). Fold in the cherry filling and almonds. Put into greased muffin pans. (I sprinkled some coarse sparkling sugar on the tops before baking.) Bake at 350° for 20 minutes until golden brown.
