    Hot Water Cornbread (Corn Cakes)

    List of Ingredients

    2 C self-rising cornmeal
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 T oil
    2 C boiling hot water
    oil for frying

    Recipe

    Mix all together & drop 2 tbsp. of batter into hot oil for each cake; fry 1 - 2 minutes on each side.

    Eat plain or with jelly, butter or syrup.
