    Recipe Introduction

To use in bread salad: http://www.recipecircus.com/recipes/Magnolias/SALADS_ETC/Bread_Salad.html

    List of Ingredients

    3 tbsp. olive oil
    2 cloves garlic, pressed
    1½ tsp. dried basil
    3/4 tsp. dried oregano
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme
    3/4 cup hot water
    6 tbsp. milk
    1½ tsp. sugar
    1½ tsp. salt
    2¼ tsp. active dry yeast
    3 cups bread flour

    Recipe

Heat oil in small skillet; add garlic & herbs. Sauté for two minutes, taking care not to let the garlic scorch or it will turn bitter. If necessary, remove the pan from the heat; the herbs will continue to cook in the oil's heat.

Combine flour, salt, sugar & yeast in mixer bowl with dough hook and stir to mix; add water, milk and herb oil; knead about seven minutes. Allow to rise until double in bulk; punch down and shape into loaf; place in loaf pan. I used a 8" x 4" pan, spritzed with olive oil pan spray. Allow to rise until double in bulk. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 20-25 minutes, until golden color, and sounds hollow when thumped.
