    BREAD

    1/3 cup butter, softened
    1 cup sugar
    2 whole large eggs
    1 tablespoon grated lime rind
    1 tablespoon key lime juice
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 tablespoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup milk
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts

    GLAZE:

    1/3 cup confectioner's sugar
    1 tablespoon key lime juice

    Recipe




    1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease 9x5x3 loaf pan.

    2. In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs; mix well.

    3. Add lime peel, juice, and vanilla; mix until combined.

    4. In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Fold in nuts.

    5. Transfer to prepared pan. Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes or until toothpick insterted near cneter comes out clean.

    6. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.

    7. Combine glaze ingredients; drizzle over warm bread. Cool completely.
