Sour Cream and Apple Coffee Cake

½ c. butter
¾ c. sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
½ pint sour cream
Topping (or bottom depending on how you look at it).
1/3 c. soft butter
½ c. b. sugar
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
3 peeled and thinly sliced apples
2 tsp cinnamon Recipe
Cream sugar, butter and add vanilla, add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.
Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda together. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Blend well.
Cream butter, butter sugar and cinnamon together and spread in the bottom of a bundt cake pan. Add nuts evenly over the top if you wish. Then arrange the apples slice over this. Top with the cake batter.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes. Invert onto a plate. After it is cooled, you could dribble caramel sauce over it. You can make your own, or use prepared ice-cream topping.
