    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    1 cup sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    1/2 cup sourdough starter
    1/4 cup milk
    2 cups all purpose flour
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 cup sour cream
    3/4 cup raisins

    Pecan Topping:
    3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 tbsp all purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1/4 cup butter or margarine
    1 cup chopped pecans

    Recipe



    In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter or margarine and sugar. Beat until fluffy and add eggs, sourdough starter and milk. Mix together dry ingredients and add alternately with sour cream to first mixture. Blend after each addition. Fold in raisins and spread mixture in greased 13x9x2" baking pan. Sprinkle with pecan topping. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until done. Cut into squares for serving either hot or cold. Makes 8 servings.

    Pecan Topping:

    Mix together brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Cut in butter or margarine until the consistency becomes crumbly. Mix in chopped pecans.
