    Pecan Pie from Dear Abby

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup light corn syrup
    1 cup dark brown sugar
    1/3 cup melted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1-1/4 cups pecan halves
    unbaked pie shell for 9" pie

    Recipe

    Combine syrup, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt; mix well. Add eggs and mix well. Place pecans in pie shell and pour mixture over. Bake 45-50 minutes at 350F, or until inserted knife blade comes out clean.



    For a larger pie, use 4 eggs, 1/2 cup melted butter and 1-1/2 cups pecan halves. Other ingredients could be increased slightly if desired, but not necessary.
