2 cups brown sugar
1 cup margarine
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
10 cups popcorn, popped

Combine sugar, margarine, syrup, salt and vanilla; bring to boiling over medium heat and continue boiling over medium-low heat for five minutes. Add soda and cream of tartar - mix well and stir into popcorn. Spread on sheet pans and bake at 200F for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
