    Cranberry Jelly Candy

    1 can (16 oz.) jellied cranberry sauce.
    3 pkg. (3 oz. each) cherry gelatin.
    1 cup ( 7 oz.) sugar
    1/2 bottle liquid fruit pectin
    1 cup chopped nuts
    Additional sugar or flaked coconut

    Recipe



    Beat cranberry sauce until smooth. Bring to a boil over high heat. Stir in gelatin and sugar; simmer 10 minutes, stirring frequently to dissolve. Remove from heat. Stir in fruit pectin; then add nuts and stir 10 minutes to prevent floating nuts. Pour into buttered 9" square pan. Chill until firm - about 2 hours.

    Invert onto wax paper, which has been sprinkled with additional sugar. Cut candy into 3/4" squares with spatula dipped in warm water and roll in sugar. Allow to stand a wile, roll in sugar again to prevent stickiness. Makes about 2 pounds candy.
