    Easiest & most foolproof candy in the world, apart from standing/stirring for 20+ minutes!

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup light corn syrup
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1 tbsp. butter
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 lb. raw Spanish peanuts
    3/4 tsp. baking soda

    Recipe

    Combine syrup, sugar, butter & salt in a 2-quart saucepan; heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Add peanuts and, stirring constantly, cook to 300° or better, when syrup turns golden - about 20 minutes. Do not undercook.

    Stir in baking soda and quickly spread on well-buttered baking sheet. When cooled, break into pieces.
