Cowboy Biscuit Bake

List of Ingredients
1/2 pound bacon, cut into 1" pieces
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
14 1/2 ounces crushed tomatoes
14 1/2 ounces kidney beans
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/3 cup chili sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
12 ounces flaky biscuitsRecipe
1. Heat oven to 375. In 12" nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium-high heat until crisp; drain. Add ground beef and onion; cook, stirring frequently, until beef is thoroughly cooked
2. Stin in all remaining ingredients except biscuits. (I added the chili powder, cooked it a bit, then added everything else.) Cook 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot and bubbly. Spoon hot mixture into ungreased 13x9 glass baking dish.
3. While the beef cooks, separate dough into 10 biscuits; cut each into quarters (I did it before I started cooking). Arrange biscuit pieces, cut side down on top of hot beef mixture. (You want to get the biscuits on the beef mixture ASAP as the heat from the mixture helps to cook the biscuits.)
4. Bake 22 to 27 minutes or until biscuits are deep golden brown.
