6 med green peppers
1# ground beef
1/3 C onion chopped
1 tsp salt
dash of pepper
1# can tomatoes
½ C water
½ C uncooked long grain rice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Recipe
Cut tops off of peppers; remove seeds & membrane. Precook green pepper cups in boiling salted water about 5 min’s & drain. (For crisp peppers, omit precooking) Sprinkle inside of cup generously w/salt.
Cook ground beef & onion til meat is lightly browned. Season w/1/2 tsp salt & dash of pepper. Add tomatoes, water, rice, Wooster sauce. Cover n’ simmer til rice is tender, about 15 min’s. Stir in 4 oz sharp process American cheese shredded
Stuff peppers; stand upright in 10x6x1 ½” bake dish. Bake uncovered @ 350° for 20~25 min’s.
