5 slices bacon, cut into 1/2 in. pieces
1 lb. pork cube steaks, cut into strips
1 med. onion, chopped
8 c. shredded green cabbage
2 cooking apples, cored and chopped
1/3 c. cider vinegar
3 T. br. sugar
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. caraway seed

In Dutch oven cook bacon until crisp; remove and set aside.
To drippings add pork and onion and saute for 5 min.
Stir in remaining ingredients and cook over med. heat for about 25 min., stirring occasionally.
Transfer with slotted spoon to serving dish; sprinkle with bacon.
