List of Ingredients
4 slices of bacon, fried crisp and drained
1 med. onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
2 cans red kidney beans, undrained
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 tomato sauce can water
2 T. chili powder
1/2 t. salt - pepper to taste
8 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
8 thinly sliced weinersRecipe
Cook onion & green pepper in 2 T. bacon grease until soft. Add beans, tomato sauce, seasonings, cheese and bacon. Stir over low heat until cheese melts. Stir in weiners and heat until hot and bubbly. Serve over hot, crisp cornbread.
Note: Add a little water, if too thick to spoon over cornbread.
