3 cups one-step stuffing mix, from 12-oz. canister
1 1/2 cups water
8 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1 14 1/2-oz. can ready to serve chicken broth
2 egg yolks
2 cups cooked turkey, cubed
Recipe
1. Heat oven to 350. Spray 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish with nonsitck cooking spray. Prepare stuffing mix as directed on package, using all of the water and 3 T of the butter. Reserve 1 cup of stuffing; layer remaining stuffing in sprayed baking dish.
2. Melt remaining 5T of butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Stire in flour and pepper with a wire whisk; cook 1 to 2 minutes or until smooth and bubbly, sitrring constantly. Gradually add broth, cook and stirring 2 to 3 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens. Remove from heat; cool 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Place egg yolks in a small bowl. Add a small amount of hot broth mixture; blend well. With wire whisk, stir egg yolk lmixture into hot broth mixture. Add turkey; mix well. Pour mixture over stuffing in baking dish. Top with reserved stuffing.
4. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 munites or until browned and edges are bubbly.
