3 eggs
1 cup + 2 tablespoon sugar
1 3/4 cup flour all-purpose
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon anise extract

Beat eggs well with electric mixer at medium speed until fuffy. Gradually add sugar, beating constantly. Continue to beat for 20 minutes. (That's what the recipe says.)
Reduce mixer speed to low and add flour, baking powder and salt. Beat in anise.
Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 1 1/2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Let stand 8 hours or overnight.
Bake at 325 F for 10 minutes or until cookies are golden yellow on bottom, not brown.
