    List of Ingredients




    1 & 1/3 C shortening
    1 & 1/2 C sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp almond extract
    3 & 1/2 C A/P Flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    2 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp salt
    1 & 1/2 C flaked coconut
    1 C maraschino cherries, chopped

    Recipe



    In a mixing bowl, cream shortening & sugar. Add eggs & extract; mix well.

    Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.

    Stir in the coconut & cherries ~ dough will be very stiff.
    Drop by rounded tsp~fuls 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets.

    Bake at 375
