4 ounces neufchatel cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 8-count Grands! Extra Rich biscuits
1 whole large apple, unpeeled, shredded, drained on a paper towel and loosely packed into 1 c measure(OK, I didn't pack mine into the measuring cup; just shredded it onto paper towels and blotted with another one.)
1/4 cup chopped dates
ICING:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
Recipe
1. Heat oven to 350. In small bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until well blended; set aside.
2. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Separate each evenly into 2 rounds. Place 8 rounds on ungreased cookie sheet. Spread each round with cream cheese mixture to within 1/2" of edge.
3. Top each with 1 rounded tablespoon loosely packed apple and 1 rounded teaspoon dates. Press remaining biscuits halves slightly. Place each on apple topped biscuit round; press edges to seal.
4. Bake at 350 for 14 to 18 minutes or until golden brown. Meanwhile blend remaining powdered sugar with enough milk for desired drizzling consistency until smooth.
5. Immediately remove rolls from cookie sheet. Drizzle icing over warm rolls.
