    1 qt whole milk
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup raw white rice
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    1/4 cup Golden raisins
    cinnamon sugar for garnish

    Recipe



    In a heavy, medium saucepan, place milk, sugar and rice. Bring to boil. Stir, reduce heat and cover. Simmer until rice is tender (20 to 25 minutes).

    Temper eggs with several spoonfuls of hot liquid from rice mixture, stir into hot rice.

    Stir in vanilla and raisins. Stir and cook a few more minutes, until it starts to thicken.

    Remove from heat. Allow to cool and refrigerate, or serve immediately.

    Refrigerate any leftovers.
