    List of Ingredients




    Pastry for 9" pie
    12 slices bacon, crisply fried and crumbled
    1 C shredded swiss cheese
    1/3 C finely chopped onion
    4 eggs
    2 C half and half
    3/4 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    1/8 tsp cayenne red pepper

    Recipe



    Prepare pastry. Sprinkle bacon, cheese, and onion in pastry-lined pie plate.

    Beat eggs slightly; beat in remaining ingredients. Pour egg mixture into pie plate.

    Cook uncovered at 425F for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 300F and cook for about 30 minutes more. Quiche is done when knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.

    Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
