    Louisiana Shrimp Bake

    Source of Recipe

    Marsha

    List of Ingredients

    3/4 c. butter
    1 bay leaf
    1/4 c fresh lemon juice
    1 1/2 t. lemon pepper
    3/4 t. cayenne
    1 t. garlic powder
    1/2 c. water
    1 lb. shelled raw shrimp
    1 to 2 t. Old Bay seasoning

    Recipe

Mix butter, bay leaf, lemon juice, lemon pepper, cayenne, garlic powder and water in a saucepan. Heat and stir until butter melts; remove and discard bay leaf.

Place shrimp in one layer in a glass dish. Pour butter mixture over shrimp; sprinkle with Old Bay seasoning.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes.

Serve shrimp with French bread for dunking into the butter sauce.

    MY CHANGES:
*I used frozen large raw peeled shrimp (from Sam's) straight from the freeezer. Just put it into the baking dish and topped with the sauce. It cooks up moist and tender in 30 minutes!

*I didn't have lemon pepper, so I used lemon zest and white pepper, which is a little hotter than black.

*I used an additional 1 heaping TBS of Cajun Seasoning.

*Also used alot of fresh minced garlic for the powder.

*And I threw in one of the lemons I had zested and juiced, just cut it into 4 sections.
