Strawberry Pretzel Salad

List of Ingredients

1½ sticks melted butter or margarine
1½ c crushed pretzels
1 c + 3 tbs sugar
1 (8 ounce) pkg cream cheese
1 large carton Cool Whip
1 (6 ounce) pkg strawberry Jell-O
(10 ounce) pkgs frozen strawberries, thawed



Recipe

Cream 3 tbs of the sugar and butter and add pretzels. Mix well and press into a 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes. Cool. Combine cream cheese and 1 c sugar and cream until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip and spread over cooled crust. Dissolve strawberry Jell-O in one c of boiling water. Add 1/2 c cold water, stir in strawberries, let chill partially, spread over cream cheese filling. Chill overnight.
