    1 3/4 cups flour, divided
    1 1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp baking soda
    2 egg whites
    1 egg
    2/3 cups unsweetened applesauce
    1/4 cup plain yogurt
    2 tablespoons sugar
    1 tsp grated lemon peel
    1 pkg (12 oz) frozen mixed berries
    1/4 cup packed brown sugar
    2 tablespoons cold butter
    whipped topping

    Recipe



    In a small bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. In another bowl, whisk the egg whites, egg, applesauce, yogurt, sugar and lemon peel; add to flour mixture, and stir thoroughly to combine. *see note*

    Spread into a round 9" cake pan, and scatter berries over the top. In a small bowl, combine the remaining flour and the brown sugar. Cut in the butter, until mixture is crumb-like. Sprinkle over berries.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on rack for 15 minutes. Serve with whipped topping.

    8 servings, 4 pts each.

    *Note: I didn't think the batter tasted sweet enough, so I added 1/4 cup Splenda, and it was just right.
