2 - 3 lbs. bratwurst or sausage of choice
4 - 5 cups sauerkraut, drained well
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 can French onion soup
Recipe
Place sausage in baking dish and spread sauerkraut over. Sprinkle with brown sugar and pour soup over. Cover and bake at 350° for 1½ - 2 hours, or until meat is cooked through - removing cover for last half hour of baking.
Reconstituted onion soup mix may be used instead of canned, using about 1¼ cups of water per envelope.
