garlic (if desired)
Your favorite tomato pasta sauce
Italian Sausage
Ricotta cheese
Parmesan cheese
Romano Cheese
Mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 350.
Brown ground beef with garlic. Drain. Combine with pasta sauce.
Make meatballs from Italian sausage and cook 'em...you can make "fancy" meatballs (with all those breadcrumbs and eggs and stuff) or just roll the sausage into meatballs and call it good.
Layer ingredients in the following order:
meat sauce
noodles
meat sauce
ricotta cheese
other cheeses
meatballs
meat sauce
noodles
meat sauce
Bake in preheated oven 45-60 minutes or until heated through (Theresa said her meat thermometer registers between 160-170 when it's heated well). Add cheese (except ricotta) to top and melt it in the oven for a few minutes (or put it under the broiler for that nice browned "crispy" cheese).
she also told me that she will take the remaining portion of the lasagna the next day (when it's nice and cold) and wraps it in foil and freezes it. When she pulls it out, she bakes it right in the foil. She usually has to add a little more cheese to the top. Heat the same way (350 oven...until heated through).
