Deadly Delicious Lasagna

Author's remarks: This is possibly the most fattening, but also most delicious lasagna ever! Spice the dish up with cayenne pepper or dried red pepper flakes, if desired.

1/2 pound lasagne noodles
1/2 pound bulk pork sausage
1 pound ricotta cheese
3 cups spaghetti sauce of choice
1/2 pound grated parmesan
1/2 pound grated mozzarella
1 - 2 cups chopped fresh spinach
Recipe
Cook noodles in salted water until al dente, drain on paper towels.
Brown sausage in skillet, drain and set aside.
Combine ricotta and 2½ cups of spaghetti sauce. In another bowl, combine parmesan and mozzarella. Combine all but 1 cup of the parmesan/mozzarella mixture with the ricotta/sauce mixture. Add sausage and spinach; mix well.
Coat bottom of 9x13 pan with remaining 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce. Position 3 or 4 noodles lengthwise and side by side; lay 3 or 4 more noodles over these - overlapping the seams of the first layer. Add a generous layer of sausage/cheese mixture; repeat all layers twice until lasagne reaches 1/2 inch from top of pan. Top with remaining cup of parmesan/mozzarella. Bake at 400° for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
