Recipe Introduction
My kids LOVE this! I serve it with a salad and garlic toast.
List of Ingredients
1 stick butter or margarine
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups chopped, cooked turkey (or chicken)
1 small can mushrooms (leave out if the kids don't like them)
1 pt. sour cream
1/4 lb. spaghetti
salt and pepper to taste; garlic powder if desired
1 cup dry breadcrumbs, mixed with 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (I also sprinkle in some parsley flakes) Recipe
Melt butter in pan over low heat. Add soup and mushrooms. When thoroughly mixed, remove from heat and add sour cream and turkey, salt and pepper, and garlic. Place on back of stove to keep warm, stir a couple of times.
After spaghetti is cooked until just tender in boiling water, drain and add to above.
Grease a 2-qt. casserole dish and pour in the mixture. Sprinkle top with the breadcrumb mixture, and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
Serves 6.
*NOTE* if the mixture seems too dry, I add some of the stock I cooked the chicken in, or even a partial can of chicken broth. It's fine for it to be a little soupy- comes out really moist.
