List of Ingredients
1¼ lbs. diced raw pork
1 lg. rib celery, sliced 1/4"
1 medium onion, sliced
1 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. bead molasses
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
water as needed
cornstarch as needed
Recipe
Brown meat in a little oil in frying pan. Add celery and onion and about 1/4 cup water, cover and simmer for about 10 min.
Add soy sauce, bead molasses & ginger, enough water to NEARLY cover all ingredients. Cover and simmer on low for about 1 hr. NOTE: Use tight-fitting lid so you don't lose any of your sauce.
Your choice: I sometimes add -- Frozen Japanese vegetables (with sauce if you can find them) or bean sprouts and sliced water chestnuts, or can Chinese vegetables. Thicken all with cornstarch & water. Serve over rice.
