1 lb ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 can diced tomato with chiles
1/2 c uncooked rice
1-2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, or cheese of choice
Pita bread rounds, halved
Recipe
In large skillet brown beef, onion and pepper until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain. Stir in tomatoes, rice, chili powder, salt, pepper & cheese; heat through.
