Butterscotch-Rum Sauce

1 can (5 oz.) evaporated milk (2/3 c.)
1/4 c. corn syrup
1 c. packed br. sugar
1 c. sugar
1/8 t. salt
2 T. stick margarine or butter (marg. must be at least 65% veg. oil)
1 T. rum or 2 t. rum flavoring(I used rum)
1 t. lemon juice
1/2 c. golden raisins (optional) I did not use these
Recipe
Mix milk, corn syrup, sugars and salt in 2 qt. saucepan
Cook over very low heat for about 20 min., stirring frequently, until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients. Serve warm or cold. Cover and refrigerate any remaining sauce. Serve over ice cream, bread pudding or baked apples. Makes 1 1/2 c.
