1/4 C Olive Oil
1 Med. Onion -- Minced
4 Cloves Garlic -- Minced
1 Can-35 Oz Crushed Tomatoes
1 Can-28 Oz Tomato Puree
1 6 Oz-Can Tomato Paste
2 Tsp Basil
1 Tsp Sugar
1 Tsp Oregano
Salt And Pepper
Recipe
In a Dutch oven, saute onion and garlic in oil until soft. Add crushed tomatoes, puree tomatoes, to medium high heat. Reduce to low and simmer 45 minutes. Stir in paste, spices, and up to 1 cup of water. Cook partially covered for 1 hour until thickened. Serve with Italian bread or over pasta.
