Orange Cream Sauce

2 egg yolks, well beaten
1/4 cup half and half
2 tbsp. orange juice
1/2 tsp. orange zest
pinch ground cloves or nutmeg
4 tablespoons butter
Recipe
Combine egg yolks with ½&½, orange juice, zest & spice. Melt butter until hot; as you whisk the egg mixture, drizzle in the hot butter in a thin stream until completely incorporated. Continue cooking over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Serve immediately over pasta, like orzo.
A lower calorie version would be to add a small amount of orange juice to a standard white sauce.
