    List of Ingredients




    1 clove garlic, minced (or 1/4 tsp powder)
    2 tsp finely chopped ginger root (or 1/2 tsp ground ginger)
    2 tsp sesame oil (or vegetable oil)
    1/4 cup soya sauce
    1/4 cup cold water
    1/4 cup sherry or sake
    1 tbsp brown sugar
    1 tbsp cornstarch

    Recipe



    Saute garlic and ginger in sesame oil in small suacepan for 30 seconds until softened.

    Add soy sauce, water and sherry. Bring to boil on medium.

    Combine brown sugar and cornstarch in small bowl. Stir into sherry mixture. Heat and stir until boiling, clear and slightly thickened. Serve warm or at room temperature.
