    The goodness of this dish for kids especially:
    This dish is superb during cold nights as the soup is served hot. Also, in Asia this is the soup during sick days for kids, as everything taste bland when you have a cold/fever or flu. The soup serves to prevent your child from dehydration. And the chicken, vegetables and noodles are easily digested. On top of that, you do not sacrificed nutrition when a sick child does not want to eat regular food.

    List of Ingredients




    Chicken breast with bone (1 pc)
    Mustard Leaf (3 stalks) or any green leafy vegetable
    salt to taste
    2 tbsps of Sesame oil(brown colour)
    Egg noodles (1 portion)
    Toasted onions* (recipe below)
    Chopped parsley
    Dash of pepper

    Recipe



    1. Boil 500ml of water in a pot. When it is boiling, put Chicken breast in it and boil for 20 minutes. Add salt to taste and sesame oil to flavour the chicken stock.

    2. Remove chicken from stock and shred chicken breast meat (by tearing the meat with your fingers). Set aside.

    3. Cook egg noodles in chicken stock.

    4. Parboil vegetables in chicken stock.

    5. Serve egg noodles in a bowl, garnish with with vegetables and chicken strips, toasted onions and a dash of pepper.

    Tip: you can use macaroni instead of egg noodles.

    * Toasted onions:
    Peel & slice small red onions (about 10 pcs) ** dip onions in water before slicing, prevents teary eye.

    Fry sliced onions over medium heat with olive oil (1 tbsp) until golden brown. Stirring continously to prevent it from burning.

    Keep oniony olive oil..can be used to fry other dishes..it spice up meat dishes very well.

    You can make a jar of toasted onions and keep it refrigrated for months.
