1 lb Ground beef
1 tbsp shortening (optional)
2 cans Beef Broth (or consumme)
2 cups Chicken Broth
2 cups diced celery
2 cups diced potatoes
4 cups (or 28-oz can) canned tomatoes
1 can mushrooms
1 cup grated carrots
2 tbsp instant onions
2 tbsp parsley
2 1/4 tsp salt (optional)
pepper
3 tbsp Sherry (or wine, or apple juice)
1 small can pizza sauce

Brown meat in shortening (or use non-stick pan). Add remaining ingredients; cover and cook 25 min. or until vegtables are done.
The longer it simmers the more flavourful it becomes. I have simmered it for a couple of hours on the stove or browned the meat and thrown everything in the crockpot for the day.
