No-Peek Stew

Recipe Introduction
DO NOT PEEK while cooking. Meat will be very tender and you will have a good rich brown gravy for rice or potatoes.
List of Ingredients
2 pounds lean boneless beef cubes
1 pkg. onion soup mix
seasoned or creole salt to taste
pepper to taste
1 can cream of mushroom soup
4 ounces sliced sautéed mushrooms
1 cup red wine
2 cups waterRecipe
Place meat in bottom of roasting pan. Combine dry seasonings and toss with meat to coat well. Pour all other ingredients on top of meat. Stir. Cover and cook at 325° for 3 hours.
