    One 35 oz. can Italian plum tomatoes with basil, UNDRAINED
    1 cup vegetable broth or tomato juice (I use V-8)
    1 small onion, grated
    oregano and basil added to taste
    1 Tbs. olive oil
    2 tsp. Splenda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder

    Recipe



    Puree tomatoes with juice and basil from the can in a blender or food processor. (I use my little hand blender with the tomatoes in the cooking pot, saves cleanup!) Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes.

    Serves 4.
