    Memphis Style Dry Rub for Ribs

    List of Ingredients

    3 T. paprika
    2 tsp. seasoned salt
    2 tsp. black pepper
    2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. thyme

    Recipe

    Combine all ingredients well. Hand rub this on washed and dried ribs several hours or up to several days before smoking or cooking.

    NOTE: before I do this, I remove that weird membrane thing on the underside of the ribs--it helps the rub penetrate the meat better and also makes them less tough.
