3 lbs. fresh green beans
6 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 small onions, sliced and separated into rings
1/2 c butter or margarine
1/3 c lemon juice
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Recipe
Wash beans and remove strings. Place in deep pot and add water and salt. Simmer 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally; drain.
Saute onions in butter in a large skillet. Add drained beans, lemon juice and brown sugar. Cook until heated thoroughly, stirring constantly.
