    1 German chocolate cake mix
    1 pkg caramels
    1 cup evaporated milk

    1 pkg cream cheese, softened
    1 tub Cool Whip
    1 pkg instant chocolate pudding, prepared according to pkg directions

    Recipe



    Prepare cake batter as directed on pkg. Pour 1/2 batter in a greased and floured pan. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes.

    Meanwhile, melt the caramels in a pan along with the evaporated milk. Pour mixture over baked cake half.

    Pour rest of cake batter on top of melted caramel. Bake another 15 minutes.

    Let cake cool completely.

    To make the icing mix together cream cheese and Cool Whip. Fold in prepared chocolate pudding.
