Country Steak with Gravy

1 ½ lbs boneless top round steak (½ inch thick)
1 (12 oz) jar fat-free savory beef gravy (such as Heinz)
2 tbsp tomato paste
½ tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp dried thyme

Recipe
Trim fat from steak; cut steak into 6 equal pieces. Combine gravy and next 5 ingredients in a small bowl; stir well. Layer gravy mixture and steak in a 4-quart electric slow-cooker coated with cooking spray, beginning and ending with gravy mixture.
Cover with lid; cook on high-heat setting 1 hour. Reduce heat to low-setting, and cook 6-7 hours or until steak is tender.
