    List of Ingredients


    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
    • 2 6oz cans tomato paste
    • 1 cup water
    • 2 (28 oz) cans crushed tomatoes
    • 2 (28 oz) cans tomato puree
    • 1 tbsp oregano
    • 1 tbsp basil
    • 1 tbsp parsley
    • 1 tsp sugar
    • 1 tbsp salt
    • 3 beef neckbones


    Instructions


    1. Brown onion lightly in a small amount of olive oil in a large pot. Add tomato paste and water; stir until tomato paste is thinned. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Bring to a slow boil and reduce heat; cook covered over low heat about 2 hours, stirring frequently to keep from burning. If sauce is too thick water may be added. If desired, meatballs or Italian sausage may be added to sauce.
