    Butterscotch Fudge Squares

    List of Ingredients




    1 Cup Brown Sugar
    1/3 Cup Butter
    1 Egg
    1 Tsp. Vanilla
    ½ Tsp. Salt
    1 Cup Flour
    1 Tsp. Baking Powder
    1 Cup Chopped Walnuts (optional)


    Instructions:

    1. Mix in order given.

    2. Spread in greased 8X8 pan.

    3. Bake in 350 “F” oven, for 20-30 minutes.

    4. When cool, frost with Butterscotch Fudge Icing.

    Butterscotch Fudge Icing:

    1 Cup Brown Sugar
    4 Tbsp. Butter
    ¼ Cup Milk
    1 Cup Icing Sugar

    Instructions:

    1. Put first 3 ingredients in small pan on stove.

    2. Boil slowly for 4 minutes.

    3. Take off heat.

    4. Let stand until cool.

    5. Stir in 1 cup of Icing Sugar, to thicken.

    6. (If it gets too thick, add a tiny bit of milk, so it will spread easily)
