Recipe Introduction
Schrod or Scrod, in my opinion is best when the preparation is simple and does not take away from the taste of the fish.
List of Ingredients
2 lbs schrod (1/2 lb per person)
1/2 cup melted butter
brread crumbs
fresh lemonRecipe
Dip schrod in melted butter and bread crumbs.
Broil until cooked through (9-10 minutes).
Reserve a little of the melted butter, add lemon juice to taste and pour over the fish after cooking.
If the fish is thick, it can be placed in a 350º oven and baked for 5-10 minutes more or until fish is cooked through. Fish is done when flesh is no longer transparent, flakes readily, and is firm to the touch.
Garnish with lemon wedges and parsley.
My note: I always bake first and then broil the last couple of minutes.
