    Summertime and the basil is growning in abundance, it's pesto time!

    List of Ingredients




    CLASSIC PESTO
    2 cloves garlic
    2 cups basil leaves
    2 tablespoons pine nuts
    1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
    pinch of Kosher salt
    1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

    Recipe





    Drop garlic through feed tube of running processor until minced. Add basil, pine nuts, cheese and salt; process until finely ground, stopping occasionally, if necessary to scrape down the sides of work bowl.
    Slowly pour oilthrough feed tube while procesor is running; process until texture resembles smooth paste.
    Transfer to a small bowl or refrigerate pesto in an airtight container up to 3 months
