    8 ounces bow tie pasta

    1/4 cup olive oil

    3 tablespoons red wine vinegar

    2 teaspoons Dijon-style mustard

    1 teaspoon dried basil

    1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

    1 can (15.5 ounces) chick-peas, drained

    1 small red onion, chopped

    1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or 1 tablespoon dried parsley, divided

    2 tablespoons capers

    8 ounces cooked and shelled shrimp, cut in half

    Preparation Time: 25 minutes plus chilling
    Cooking Time: 10 minutes
    Serves 4
    1. Cook pasta according to package directions.


    2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine oil, vinegar, mustard, basil and red pepper flakes; whisk until blended. Set mixture aside.


    3. Place chick-peas in a large bowl. Stir in onion, half of parsley and capers. Add 1/4 cup of dressing. Chill remaining dressing, covered with plastic wrap.


    4. Drain pasta in a colander; combine with chick-pea mixture. Add shrimp; mix well. Chill, covered with plastic wrap, at least 2 hours. Just before serving, toss salad lightly with remaining dressing; sprinkle with remaining parsley
