    Recipe Introduction


    A popular stand up oatmeal cookie, moist and chewy with the final drizzling glaze as the finishing touch.

    List of Ingredients




    ½ C butter
    1 C brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/3 C milk or I used evaporated milk as richer
    1 and ½ C rolled oats
    1 and ½ C flour
    1 C seedless yellow raisins
    ½ C chopped walnuts (I would use more)
    ½ tsp salt
    1 tsp baking powder
    ¼ tsp baking soda
    1 tsp each of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger



    Recipe



    Cream together butter and sugar, add egg and milk, mix. Add all dry ingredients mixing well then drop onto ungreased cookie sheets by heaping teaspoons. These cookies will stand tall and not flatten out much at all.

    I baked at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes till a bit brown around the edges and tops. Cool and then drizzle with the following

    ½ stick of butter or less for a buttercream type glaze
    Add milk a bit at a time to powdered sugar and mix until consistency for drizzling is reached. Let baker’s glaze/drizzle set for some hours or overnight.
